PM Modi Slams Previous Governments In Assam During Visit To State

PM slammed earlier governments in Assam for depriving indigenous folks their land rights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at this time slammed the earlier governments in Assam for depriving its lakhs of poor indigenous folks of their land rights.

The BJP-led authorities within the state is dedicated to making sure that the indigeneous folks have authorized rights over their land, PM Modi stated, after launching a drive to offer possession certificates to over one lakh households.

Marking its launch, the Prime Minister distributed ‘pattas’ or land possession certificates to 10 folks on the historic ‘Jerenga Pathar’ in Sivasagar.

“When the Sarbananda Sonowal authorities took over the reins in Assam, greater than six lakh indigenous households had no authorized rights over their land. In the previous couple of years greater than two lakh such households have been allotted possession certificates,” PM Modi stated.

“With multiple lakh households added at this time, the federal government has proven its dedication to defending the rights of the indigeneous folks,” PM Modi stated.

The earlier governments in Assam by no means cared for the rights of those that “liked this sacred land”, he stated.

The land possession certificates (pattas) will assure their ‘Swabhiman’ (pleasure), Swadheenta (freedom) and Suraksha (safety).
